Me & my life in IT Support
About Us
IT Consulting Since 1990
I have worked in IT for the majority of my career and am a highly experienced Business Intelligence developer. Amazingly working with data and IT every day I still enjoy the challenge of fixing and helping people understand IT and technology out of work.
At home I have always been the IT helpdesk for my family and friends! My Mum still phones me if she has problems with her computer or phone and there are constantly issues which need sorting, like backing up her phone or updating the software.
I have spent a lot of time with friends helping them sort out old computers, setting up their new mobile phones and advising on how to control their children’s use of mobile data.

The Challenge
Technology today is getting more complicated and constantly changing, yet we are expected to understand it with no instruction manual.
Recently I have come to recognise that there is a need to provide quality IT support for people who are either reluctant computer users or just find using a computer a challenge.
To this end I have started volunteering at my local library. Here we are putting on mobile phone workshops, there I spend an hour answering people’s questions on their mobile phones or tablets.
Sometimes it is more appropriate for a user to have one to one help. Therefore I am looking to provide a service sorting computer issues or answering questions from the comfort of your own home.
